Owning an Apple product such as iPhone, Apple’s flagship smartphone is a privilege in itself. The simple product design, easy to use interface and software reliability make iPhone a hassle-free product for elite users globally. With growing competition from other companies such as Google, Samsung and Chinese counterparts, the market share of Apple may have declined in the smartphone segment, but the product still stands out in terms of quality and performance (based on my personal experience with iPhone 7 Plus that I am using till date).
How to save money when your Apple iPhone/accessory malfunctions?
One of the most common concerns of iPhone users globally is the high cost of its accessories. Well, some costs do not have any substitute that matches Apple spare part performance, but there are definitely some tips that can help you get the same performance with your Apple iPhone using third party accessories.
Well today air pods have taken a lead over wired earphones but when I bought my iPhone 7 plus, I got a wired earphone in my box. I continued to use these with my iPhone device as no other earphone could be plugged in directly because of port type. However, in late 2019, my earphones that came with iPhone stopped working. Initially I thought about buying another set from Apple. But then the idea of wireless earphones of some other brand captured my attention. I decided to buy Sony WI-C200 Wireless Headphones with 15 Hrs Battery Life, Quick Charge, Magnetic Earbuds for Tangle Free Carrying, BT ver 5.0,Work from home, In-Ear Bluetooth Headset with mic for phone calls (Black).
The results are awesome. I can use the earphone anytime while placing my bulky iphone anywhere nearby. That means, I can cook food in the kitchen with my earphones on!
2. Speakers with mic
Well, lately, there is some sound issue in my iPhone and hence I decided to buy a wireless speaker with mic to deal with the issue. I have recently ordered Sony SRS-XB12 Wireless Extra Bass Bluetooth Speaker with 16 Hours Battery Life, Waterproof, Dustproof, Rustproof, Speaker wih Mic, Loud Audio for Phone Calls (Black).
3. Charging Cable
Well, the charging cable has almost withered and therefore I had to buy another cable to charge my phone. I was amazed to see a list of Apple certified charging cables selling on Amazon!
- AmazonBasics Apple Certified Lightning to USB Charge and Sync Cable, 3 Feet (0.9 Meters) – Black
- Bandridge Apple Mfi Certified USB A to Lightning Cable compatible with iPhone/iPad/iPod – White (1 Mtr)
- Tukzer Lightning Cable 8 Pin – Apple MFi Certified – 2.4Amp Fast Charge (White- 3.2 feet)
I still decided to buy one from Apple but there are certainly low priced substitutes to save money.
P.S. These are recommended when your products are out of warranty. Do let me know if you have better ideas! Thanks for reading!
