5 Tips to help you search on Google like a Pro

Hi there! Before I start with the tips to help you with your Google search, let me give a brief introduction about myself. I am a digital marketer, a business writer, a market research survey designer, a poet, a singer and a blogger with 13 years of industry experience. The tips shared in this article will help you search faster on Google and get the desired information efficiently.

  1. Use the correct search key phrases when searching for any information on Google.

For example, suppose you are looking for a vegetarian restaurant in London. It will be a good idea to search, “vegetarian restaurants London” followed by the local area code or locality name. For example, vegetarian restaurants London Central could be a good phrase.

2. When you are looking for a recent update

If you are looking for some latest news and do not want to read through a random sequence of old and recent stories, use “tools” option in Google. You can sort the results based on their publishing history such as pas 24 hours, past week, past month, past year and even a custom range.

3. Use Voice Search

Tired of typing those long sentences or keywords on Google search? Try Google Voice Search option. Just speak the phrase instead of typing it and get the results within seconds. You can use “Hey Google” to activate voice search option on your android phone.

4.Check related searches tab for hints

At the bottom of Google Search Result Page (technically called SERP), you will see a box titled related searches. You might try these to get more information about the topic of your research.

5. Use Advanced Search

Check the settings tab and access advanced search features. It helps you customize your search results based on language, region, site, file type and usage rights. Usage rights comes very handy when accessing images as it filters images based on copyrights.
