As per news reports, Las Vegas was lucky in saving itself from a major cyberthreat as thousands gathered for the popular tech show – CES 2020. The news has been confirmed by the city officials.
The systems of the officials were attacked which forced the local authorities to put a lot of online services on hold.
The cyrberattack had begun as the city was gearing up for the start of the Consumer Electronics Show.
The news of the deadly attack attempt comes at a time where many cities across the US struggle with an array of hacks to hold computer systems for a ransom. As per IT security company Barracuda, more than 70 state and local governments in the US were attacked in 2019.
