Amazon Launches its Credit Card in India

Shortly after India revised its FDI policy on ecommerce, Amazon and Flipkart were in a fix to modify their business models to comply with the requirements of not providing cashback to customers for purchases.

Amazon.in seems to have found a viable solution to this problem by asking its customers to apply for Amazon Credit Card.

Amazon has partnered with ICICI Bank in India to launch “Amazon ICICI Bank Credit Card.”

The credit card can be attained only through invite initiated by Amazon to selected customers based on their purchase history. Amazon.in is offering an Amazon Pay balance of INR 750 for customers who apply for the credit card.

On applying, the credit card is generated within minutes and customers are informed about physical delivery of the card in 7 days.
