It’s incredible how the top media organizations have to bear the unappetizing face of Donald Trump almost every day, only to talk about yet another obtuse and agonizing statement made by him.
What’s interesting is the way US media has managed to portray him. He is and so has been shown as the sinner for all his proven wrongdoings, but at the same time, the media have failed to acknowledge or even talk about Hillary’s controversial history and the burgeoning scandals. There is just too much Donald Trump all across the world. Who is talking about Hillary? Why is there so much silence over her?
Hillary Clinton points out her time in the White House as the large part of her qualifications for being the President. What we and the media have forgotten is that her time as the first lady was full of controversies and that she was the first first lady who came under criminal investigation. David Geffen, a Hollywood billionaire and a confidant of Clinton’s backed out from supporting Hillary by saying “not supporting anybody” in the Democratic nominations. So many controversies surround her, yet she is left untouched.
Undoubtedly, Hillary has changed her stance numerous times on different subjects which shows her opportunistic behavior. She changes her statements depending on the situation and who she is talking to.
So today when she says, “Instead of building walls, we need to be torn down barriers,” we also have to remember when she said, “I voted numerous times as a senator to spend money to build walls.”
She publicly lied about the classified mails not being classified. FBI Director James B. Comey clearly said that 110 emails exchanged have been determined as classified when they were exchanged and that there were possibilities of security breaches through numerous devices she had used. She was extremely careless in handling the classified emails.
During the first Democratic debate of this year’s campaign, CNN’s Anderson Cooper confronted Clinton with a list of issues where her positions had changed.
He started off by saying, “Plenty of politicians evolve on issues, but even some Democrats believe you changed your positions based on political expediency.” “You were against same-sex marriage, now you’re for it. You defended President Obama’s immigration policies, now you say they’re too harsh. You supported his trade deal dozens of times; you even called it the ‘gold standard.’ Now, suddenly last week, you’re against it. Will you say anything to get elected?”
Today, Hillary talks taking back guns and says there are too many of them and “We have to go after this.” But in 2008 she publicly also said, “I don’t want your guns.”
Her lies just go on. In 1996 after her trip from war torn Bosnia, she came back and described her landing under sniper fire to try to show her international experience. She said the same thing multiple times in public on different occasions. Later it was found to be a lie and she had to apologize.
In a video in 2013, she supported gay sex marriage personally and as a matter of policy and law. But, in 2004, when she was a senator from New York, she banned gay marriage by opposing a constitutional amendment.
In the same debate Anderson also pointed out and asked her, “Just in July in New Hampshire, you told the crowd, “I take a back seat to no one when it comes to progressive values.” Last month in Ohio you said you plead guilty,”In kind of moderate and center.” Do you change your political identity depending on who you are talking to?
Hillary was instrumental in the passage of the controversial NAFTA bill. She held five strategic meetings for Congressional approval. She was also blamed for blocking the White House from the opposition and labor and environmental groups.
With the ongoing email leaks, she has lied about turning over 17500 emails which included documents on drone strikes which she thought were not classified. She said she used one device, but the truth is she operated 13 Blackberrys and 5 iPads. This raises serious questions of her negligence and her credibility for becoming the President.
Her lies have been constantly in the presence of the public. Although the FBI has stepped in to defend her in Bengazi email suit, they cannot protect her from other alleged corruption charges, which she denies and diverts vehemently.
The entire history of her being under criminal investigations seems to have been washed out lately. The media has hardly pointed out to the Clintons’ involvement in numerous scandals like Travelgate, Vince Foster’s suicide, Filegate, Whitewater and Clinton foundation. What is happening in the United States today is unprecedented and lacks credibility because when you hear Obama endorse Hillary Clinton, you should not forget to remember him saying how corrupt Hillary was during the previous election.
If when you see Donald as a threat to the world’s oldest democracy, then Hillary being the President will not be any less scandalous if not more. Today, America is like the land of the blind and Hillary fits appropriately as the one-eyed queen. This will not go down well in the history of America and the world should know why. The world should know that today, media manipulation is playing its role by showing what the politicians want and not what the people deserve to know.
