One of the most mysterious urban legends of our time, Zombie has once again started creating a lot of buzz inside the world of science and politics as well. Recently, some of the US’s politicians (most from the Illinois) have cautioned citizens and law enforcement agencies to take their Zombie preparedness ability more seriously.
Last year, the month of October was marked as the “Zombie Preparedness Month.” Reportedly, it is being said that intelligence inputs might have got some inputs that prompted the state authorities to raise awareness of the people about Zombies. The Illinois state assembly put forward a house resolution (HR 0030) that asked people of Illinois to stay well prepared for Zombies; by doing so they can be in a better position to handle nature’s fury and other disasters as well.
The resolution was approved by the house a few days back. The bill also exposed America’s preparedness towards combating nature’s fury. Few states even lack the modus operandi to distribute food, water and medicine supply to affected people during a natural disaster
The debate was actually regarding America’s capacity to fight nature’s wrath but Rep. Steven Anderson, R-Geneva, made the conversation more interesting by raising the question that which type of Zombie to be used for natural disaster preparedness? He argued that Zombies portrayed on “Z Nation” are faster but those on “The Walking Dead” are more organised.
Scientific Evidence to Zombie’s Existence
Believe it or not, Zombies are real! Science is notorious for doing things that we couldn’t even dream of. Dr Wade Davis, a well known scientist, has learned the “art of making Zombie” using mysterious Zombie juice and toad skin. He learnt the art from a Vodoo practitioner in Haiti.
1) Zombies are created by Vodoo priests belonging to Bizango secret societies.
2) Zombification or creating someone a Zombie is an ultimate form of punishment to a culprit or convict under Bizango societies.
In his book, “Passage of Darkness (1988)”, the scientist claimed to have found the reality of Zombies. He concluded that by putting on toad skin all over the body and consuming a poisonous substance, the person goes insane and stays in an inebriated state for a long time – mostly for life long time.
What Does a Zombie Do?
They mystery of Zombies has always made people curious. Zombie basically denotes a dead man having an ability to walk in an eerie manner. They suck blood from humans. The English word “Zombie” first came to use in 1819 when the Brazilian poet Robert Southey mentioned the term Zombi in his literary work.
Zombie is largely categorized as a work of fiction with no existence of its own. They eat raw meat of humans and animals. According to the Haitian folklore, whoever commits suicide – never gets salvation. Their souls could neither enter a new human body nor could it escape from the world. They continue to stay in a half-human and half-dead state forever!
